Collected here under one directory, the varied offices of the Imperial Government take as their charge the administration and oversight of the events, development, protection, expansions, legislation, and representation of a wide-ranging set of concerns.

The galaxy has long been defined according to considerable, geographic swaths of space, wherein lie the constituent worlds and citizenry of the Galactic Empire. These territories stand as the Imperial Sectors, and within each there an Imperial Moff assumes the responsibility for the disposition and application of the military forces, and is the primary political representative and arbitrator of the collective systems, worlds, and colonies within that expanse of territory. It falls to the Moff to mediate the peace, address such issues as taxation as defined by the Imperial Ministry of Finance, and to represent the needs of the populace to the Emperor, or to arrange for relief to be granted through the Imperial Government.

Beyond the civilized, cultured, and represented realms of space, there lies the vastness of the Outer Rim, patrolled and mediated by the Imperial Grand Admirals. The Grand Admirals are tasked with upholding and propagating the Empire's laws and ideals within these distant reaches, and their duty to falls to the Empire as a comprehensive whole, not merely to one Sector. The Grand Admiral stands as the Emperor's eye and hand, cast to address the needs and concerns spawned on the rim, or within the civilized worlds themselves, should the situation warrant such. The Grand Admirals possess the vision, insight, power, and responsibility to address concerns and territories far larger than what the typical Moff may be called to address within a Sector, and the Grand Admirals possess a far keener sense of tactics and a virtuosity of martial skills.

The Imperial Ministries serve a different function than that of the local representatives of the Imperial Government. The Imperial Ministries, most notably those of Finance and Diplomacy, are charged with the legislation and implementation of the policy and codes that affect the totality of the galaxy, ensuring a standard and fair estimation and execution of law, protocol, and assessment. While a Moff will reign over a particular Sector of space, tending to the needs and affairs of his citizenry, the Ministries set policy and tend to matters that span the galaxy.

An Imperial Minister is a member of the Imperial High Command and an advisor to the throne relating to their respective sphere of influence. A Minister is charged with conceiving, implementing, maintaining, expanding, and strengthening the Empire’s administration of and interests within the influences of the Ministry’s specific charge.

Working between these divisions, there are smaller departments that have been tasked with the handling and execution of the varied administrative and enforcement needs, falling primarily into the hands of civil enforcement.

It is through the careful and consistent coordination of these figures and authorities that the expanse of the Empire is brought under a singular, logical, order, yet remains flexible enough to appropriately address local concerns and interests.
